As a round-up for February from the DIBs team, we bid farewell to the Year of the Tiger, and welcome the promising Year of the Dragon! Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival, is a time of joy, reunion, and the celebration of new beginnings. As part of DIBs, we embrace the spirit of prosperity and renewal as we walk fiercely into the Chinese New Year 2024 this February. Here are 5 things we can learn from going into the Chinese culture and the Year of the Dragon.
Wishing You Gong Xi Fa Cai: Gong Xi Fa Cai, or 恭喜发财 in Chinese, translates to "Wishing you prosperity" or “Wish you enlarge your wealth”. Its roots trace back centuries, embodying aspirations for prosperity, good fortune, and familial bonds. This enduring phrase not only symbolises optimism and communal unity but also serves as a reminder of the rich heritage and values cherished by generations of Chinese families worldwide.
