Advancing Analytics secures place on G-Cloud 15

Advancing Analytics is part of G-Cloud 15

Advancing Analytics has been named as a supplier on G-Cloud 15, the UK Government framework for buying cloud services through the Crown Commercial Service (CCS). Through G-Cloud, public-sector organisations planning data and AI work have an established route through which to engage our Databricks specialists.

For government departments and wider public-sector organisations, the practical benefit is access, through an official, government-approved framework. If you need specialist Databricks expertise, there is now a recognised procurement route through which to get it. That removes a step that can otherwise delay getting the right help in place.

A clearer route to Databricks expertise

G-Cloud is a procurement framework used by public-sector organisations to buy cloud-based services, including consultancy and support. Suppliers publish their services and terms, and buyers can engage them through a route that has already been established for public-sector use.

For buyers, that means less procurement groundwork when the requirement is clear and the supplier is already listed. For us, it means public-sector teams have another way to reach us.

Supporting government data and AI teams

We already work with several government customers on Databricks transformation. That work can begin at different points, depending on what an organisation already has and what it is trying to achieve.

Some teams want help understanding their current Data & AI estate before committing to a direction. Others have settled on Databricks and need a roadmap that reflects their existing systems, skills and constraints. Migration and modernisation of an existing platform is often part of it, along with the data engineering and analytics work that follows.

Governance runs through all of it, particularly where data is sensitive or subject to specific handling requirements. Where organisations are looking at AI, Databricks gives them a way to do that work on the same governed platform as the rest of their data. As a partner of Databricks, Microsoft, AWS, Anthropic and OpenAI, we can give the full picture.

We also work alongside internal teams rather than around them, so the people who will own the platform are involved in building it.

Cutting-edge technology, delivered by the experts

Advancing Analytics is a specialist data and AI consultancy and a Databricks Gold Consulting Partner. That focus shapes how we work as much as what we know.

We put effort into explaining things clearly. Databricks covers a lot of ground, and a customer team should be able to describe and understand their own architecture without needing us in the room to do it. Where we think a plan will not hold up, we would rather say so early and explain why, even when that is not the answer someone was hoping for.

The recommendations we make are meant to suit the organisation in front of us rather than the most interesting technical option available. Sometimes that means a smaller piece of work than expected.

We keep experienced people close to delivery, and we want customer teams more confident with the platform at the end of an engagement than at the start. Those are the standards we hold ourselves to, and they are a fair basis on which to judge us.

Why we invested in G-Cloud 15

Applying for G-Cloud 15 took a meaningful contribution from people across the business, from defining the service offerings through to preparing and reviewing the supporting documents and service descriptions. It was a deliberate commitment rather than an administrative exercise. We already do this work with public-sector organisations, and we wanted them to have a simpler way to engage us.

"Government teams are being asked to do more with data that is often fragmented, difficult to govern and not giving them the answers they need. That affects the teams delivering public services and the people who rely on them. AI brings further opportunity, but also greater responsibility around governance, trust and accountability.

G-Cloud 15 gives those organisations a clearer route to the practical Databricks expertise needed to improve their foundations and govern what comes next."
